| Rai McDermott graduated from Animal Behavioral College. Since graduating, she has furthered her education in animal aggression, nutrition, psychology, obedience, and show training. Rai is a member of the Internatinal Association of Canine Professionals, the American Boarding Kennel Association, and an ABC alumni. At Tail Race, we teach all dogs by using positive reinforcement techniques to ensure that learning is a fun part of your dog's life. All classes are taught in our 60' X 80' climate controlled builiding which is fully enclosed for your dog's safety. You CAN turn your problem pooch into a proper pup! |
| Puppy Kindergarten***$80 |
| This 5 week course will provide you with all the knowledge you need to train your new family member and care for their nails, ears, and teeth. We will cover basic commands such as sit, lay down, place, and most importantly, come when called. We will also cover different ways to correct all the puppy behavior such as chewing, jumping, potty training, digging, and much more. Your dog will also get used to being around other dogs and humans in this group class. |
| Basic Obedience***$60 |
| This class will continue refreshing everything you have learned in puppy class as well as prepare you and your pet to compete in obedience trials and earn your CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title. This is a very prestigious award that shows you have a well mannered dog. We have shows here several times throughout the year where your dog can compete and earn titles. |
| Continuing Education***$50 |
| The fee gives your dog a lifetime membership to continue to attend basic puppy obedience classes whenever a class is scheduled. This is a great way to ensure that you always have a safe facility to come practice commands as well as socialize your pet. |
| Tricks Class ***$40 |
| If you want your dog to impress all your friends, this is the class for you. It lasts for 3 weeks and will teach your pet how to do fun tricks such as play dead, jump through hoops, high five, and more. This class is sure to provide fun and entertainment for the ultimate dog loveer! |
| Private Sessions***$35 |
| As dogs grow up, they may become stubborn or exhibit behaviors that you find unacceptable. A private lesson allows the trainer to focus solely on the issues that you need help resolving. Depending on what the problem is that your dog is exhibiting, several sessions may be necessary. If needed, group packages are available. |
| In-Kennel Training***$600 |
| When you don't have time to train your dog, we do. Tell us the problems and leave your dog here for 2 to 4 weeks so that WE can be the ones to resolve them. A private session with the owner is necessary after the training to inform them how to keep up with what the dog has been taught. Free consultation is also necessary prior to training to evaluate the dog. |
| Socialization***$8 |
| Do you and your dog like to hang out with other dogs and their owners? Would you like to hang out and watch the dogs play and burn off some of that energy? This is a laid back event that allows dogs to play, run, and wrestle with other dog friendly dogs while you sit back and relax. This will take place in an enclosed area that is large enough to ensure that they go home ready for bed. |
